Sound Transit has canceled Sounder N Line service north of Seattle on Friday, Nov. 12.

Officials say it’s a “precautionary action” because of the high level of rainfall in the forecast and the potential for landslide activity. Landslides have closed train travel in the north end many times over the years.

Passengers of the N Line are encouraged to take existing regular bus service as an alternative to the canceled train service between Everett and Seattle.

Several Western Washington rivers on flood watch as rain continues

Heavy rainfall across the Puget Sound region Thursday night into Friday has already led to flood watches for most rivers in Western Washington. In the north Sound, several rivers are expected to reach moderate to major flood levels Friday, including the Skykomish, Snoqualmie, Puyallup, and Skokomish.
