Students at South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard were evacuated and sent home after a bomb threat was called into the school on Monday.
“This morning we received a bomb threat at South Ktisap High School,” said Amy Miller with the South Kitsap School District. “Students were evacuated, and due to the weather and the time it takes to clear the building we were advised by law enforcement to send students home. Students are able to leave in their own vehicles … or we also used our buses.”

All after-school activities have also been canceled. The South Kitsap School District posted on social media that students are safe and that officials are working with police to clear the building before Tuesday’s classes begin.
KOMO News reports that the bomb threat comes 11 days after another threat to “shoot up” the school. That incident put the high school into lockdown.
South Kitsap High School teaches grades 9-12.
