Power has been fully restored after a Wednesday afternoon outage that initially affected over 11,000 Seattle City Light customers.

The outage largely affected the south end of Seattle along Martin Luther King Jr. Way South near Jefferson Park Golf Course, as well as parts of the International District.

Officials initially suspected a truck caught in wires as the cause behind the outage. Those reports were ultimately inaccurate — crews have yet to determine was actually caused it.

Roughly 4,000 people had power restored within hours. City Light got everyone else back online shortly before 4 p.m.

Link light rail trains were still running through the outage, but experienced delays thanks to “operating under slow orders along MLK with traffic signals dark.”
