Monday might be the last time you see vocal contestants Delvin and Dani on “The Voice,” at least according to Bing’s predictions.
Microsoft’s Bing search engine now has a new feature that offers predictions on the outcomes of popular TV shows based on activity on the Internet.
“Based on a variety of different signals including search queries and social input from Facebook and Twitter, we are unveiling an experiment we’ve built to give you our prediction of the outcome of a given event,” writes the Bing predictions team in a blog post explaining their predictions.
The new feature launched Monday and currently covers shows like “The Voice,” “American Idol” and “Dancing with the Stars.” But they say they’re also exploring harnessing Bing’s power in evaluating outcomes of events like elections and sporting matches.
To get a sample of the new feature, search “The Voice” on Bing and scroll down to see the predictions.
