Stevens Pass and Mount Baker have a special treat for skiers and snowboarders bummed over the warm December weather.
Both resorts are opening Saturday with limited operations.
Mount Baker will run chairs 1, 2, 3 and the Heather Meadows handle tow out of the Heather Meadows Base Area starting at 9 a.m.
Stevens Pass is open for Saturday only 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Daisy and the Rope Tow are the only lifts operating and there will be limited grooming. Conditions will also be a little rough, so the resort recommends keeping your shiny, new equipment at home.
“Rock skis and boards should be your equipment of choice.”
As for the remainder of the season, decisions to operate will be made on a day-to-day basis until there’s enough snowpack.
Limited Opening Details for Stevens Pass:
Tickets
Ages 0-6 – FREE
Ages 7-15 – $20
Ages 16-69 – $20
Ages 70+ – $15
Night skiing is not available until there is more snow.
Reduced lift ticket prices will be in effect at Mount Baker. An all day adult rate will be $39 on Saturday.
