It’s been a long wait, but skiers and snowboarders finally have a chance to take some turns at The Summit at Snoqualmie Pass.
The ski resort off I-90 opened Summit West Friday morning with limited operations, hours from 9am-4pm. Lifts Little Thunder, Magic Carpet, Dodge Ridge, and Pacific Crest are running.
“It’s going to be early season conditions, but hey, we’re going to be open,” said spokesperson Guy Lawrence.
“As long as the snow is coming, we’re happy.”
Forecasters say another system moving in Saturday morning should produce new snow for lower mountain elevations.
The resort said Summit Central is most likely to open next after a good shot of snow, while the base of Alpental still has a long way to go.
