Just before 8:30 p.m. Friday, the driver allegedly ran a red light and drove the SUV into the restaurant. Multiple people suffered minor injuries from the crash, according to the Seattle Police Department (SPD).

“We are in complete shock, but above all, deeply grateful that everyone is safe and that no life-threatening injuries occurred,” the owners of the restaurant wrote in a social media post.

After an evaluation, officers determined the driver was not under the influence.

Mioposto will be closed temporarily as the family evaluates the damages suffered.

“We’ll keep you updated as we move forward,” management wrote. “Thank you for holding us and those who experienced this in your thoughts. Please stay safe out there this holiday weekend!”
