Police have found a body at a Tacoma home after a teen called 911 Tuesday claiming he killed his father and buried him in the yard.
A man who lives in a home in the 1900 block of S. Madison Street was reported missing Saturday, says Tacoma Police spokesperson Loretta Cool.
Cool would not identify the man but confirmed the 16-year-old son does live at the house and was detained while detectives search the home and yard. She says the teen refused to tell police where the body was located. But the body was found several hours later after officers obtained a search warrant and brought in a search dog to comb the property.
The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting an autopsy and will provide positive identification, Cool says.
The man’s wife says she last spoke to her husband Friday evening, Cool says.
