The Crime Blotter: 15 guns, 5.5 pounds of fentanyl recovered in North Seattle drug bust

The Seattle Police Department (SPD) arrested two alleged drug traffickers in North Seattle, seizing fentanyl, heroin, and guns.

SPD Narcotics investigators and Homeland Security agents delivered a warrant to the suspected dealer at the 600 block of NW 58th Street.

When searching the home, they found three pounds of fentanyl powder, 21,000 fentanyl pills, a half-pound of heroin, small amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine, and $47,000 in cash.

Police also seized two shotguns, five rifles, seven handguns, and a ghost gun, two of which were reported stolen.

After the warrant was issued, they were able to arrest the second man in connection with the drug trafficking. They seized 2.5 pounds of fentanyl powder, 9,000 fentanyl pills, 2.3 ounces of meth, and over $2,300 in cash.

Both men have been booked into King County Jail.

Suspect punches, bites Tukwila Cop spitting blood in his face

Last week, Tukwila Police Officers responded to a 911 call of a man assaulting a woman from the Tukwila Justice Center.

The night shift patrol sergeant located the suspect, who was in the midst of pushing the woman.

Police say while being detained, the suspect punched the sergeant in the face, bit the officer, and spit blood in another officer’s face while arresting him.

The suspect was booked into jail on two counts of third-degree felony assault and one count of fourth-degree domestic violence.

Tumwater police look for car prowler 

Tumwater Police (TPD) are looking for a suspect who prowled a parked vehicle in the area of Southwick Court.

Police believe he is also suspected of prowling several other vehicles in Littlerock Road SW & 70th Avenue SW.

TPD needs the public’s help to identify the suspect, and you can contact them with reference case number 2022-01843.

Bellingham Police arrest bank robber, recover cash 

On Saturday morning, Bellingham Police responded to a bank robbery at a Key Bank on N State Street in the downtown core.

Officers say a teller told police a man walked into the bank at 10:10 a.m. and handed over a note that said he had a loaded gun and would shoot if he wasn’t given a specific amount of money.

Investigators say the employee handed the cash over, clearly fearing for their life.

Officers were given a photo of the suspect and began searching for him. Just before 11:00 a.m., officers located the suspect walking along Illinois street near Vallette street and took him into custody. 

Police did not find a gun on him during the search and recovered all the money except for $100.

Fatal motorcycle crash on SR 20 in Mount Vernon 

Washington State Patrol reported one person was killed and another was injured in a crash between two motorcycles Sunday night on State Route 20 in Mount Vernon.

According to WSP, a 64-year-old motorcyclist from Blaine was heading northbound on Laconner Whitney Road and went through a green light at the SR 20 intersection.

The other driver, a 30-year-old Snohomish man, was heading eastbound on SR 20 and failed to stop at the red light, hitting and killing the 64-year-old driver.

The Snohomish man was airlifted to the Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by WSP.
