The Crime Blotter: Belltown mugging leaves 1 with gunshot wound to the leg

The Seattle Police Department (SPD) is investigating after a man was shot in the ankle in Belltown Tuesday night.
Officers say about 10:30 p.m., SPD responded to 4th Avenue and Battery Street for reports of gunshots, where officers found a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his ankle.
Seattle Fire Department medics treated the man at the scene, and he was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
The victim told officers two men tried robbing him. When he refused to give over his stuff, one of the men pulled out a gun and shot at the man’s feet, hitting him in the ankle.
The two suspects ran off, and officers collected shell casings at the scene and documented ballistic damage to a nearby car.
Detectives will continue to investigate this incident.

Tacoma Police investigate mid-morning shooting
At 10:25 a.m. Tacoma police responded to reports of a shooting at the 1500 block of St. Paul Ave.
At the scene, they found a 42-year-old man who was shot, unresponsive, and outside of a vehicle. They then immediately started life-saving measures.
Emergency Medical Services transferred the man to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Detectives and crime scene investigators are responding to the crime and will release more information as it is available. It is currently being considered a homicide.
Seattle woman in crisis attempts to abduct young child
Seattle Police say yesterday at 5 p.m., a woman in crisis attempted to abduct a young child while the child’s mother and grandmother were distracted cleaning and remodeling their business.
The grandmother saw the woman come into the business and try to lead the child away.
She was stopped before leaving with the child.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
Unidentified suspect speeds away from White Center shooting
Wednesday night at 10:15 p.m., Seattle Police Officers responded to a shots fired call near SW Roxbury St and 18th Ave SW. Officers found evidence of a shooting in the roadway when they got on the scene.
Officers say rounds struck an occupied residence, causing damage. Officers looked around the area for injuries and damage to additional properties but didn’t see anything further.
A vehicle was seen speeding away southbound on 18th Ave. SW, but it was unidentifiable.
Police are still investigating.

Bonney Lake Police are now releasing details about these male teens who used fireworks to light a dumpster on fire at Lakeridge Middle School early in the morning at about 1:26 a.m. September 10.
