Update: The crash that left four people, including two children, injured Friday morning began as an assault call, according to police.
Officers responded to the call in the 11000 block of Roosevelt Way NE around 5 a.m. Before they arrived, a male suspect left in a vehicle with an adult female and the two children inside.
When officers arrived, reports of a rollover came in from the 9200 block of Roosevelt Way.
According to police, the vehicle hit several parked cars before rolling.
The female and children suffered minor injuries. Seattle Fire had to cut the car open to extract the driver, who suffered more serious injuries.
Police believe alcohol and excessive speed were factors in the crash.
