Toledo couple discovers box of explosives on their property

Apr 17, 2013, 8:49 AM | Updated: 9:32 am

If you found a half-buried box on your property labeled “rocket ammunition with explosives” would your first instinct be to dig it up and kick it?

KIRO TV reports that’s exactly what a Toledo, Washington man did. When he finally got the box open, he found 200 bricks of TNT.

The Washington State Patrol now has the explosives. They believe it belonged to the previous owner of the property who was known to use explosives to blow up tree stumps.

According to neighbors, that man died in an explosion while transporting TNT.
