North Seattle building on ‘fire watch’ after Wednesday blaze

Seattle Fire says a vehicle storage building in North Seattle is on fire watch into the evening after an earlier fire Wednesday afternoon.
The building is located in the 10700 block of Aurora Ave. N. Engine 31 was driving past when firefighters noticed black smoke coming from the building.
The owner of the building said there were multiple cars and some propane tanks inside, which resulted in small explosions.
No one was inside the building during the fire and no firefighters were injured during the fire fight.
Seattle Fire will post an engine company at the site through the evening to prevent the fire from reigniting.
King County Metro said the RapidRide E Line saw delays due to the response. Traffic in the area was heavily impacted.
