TSA denies mistreating dying woman

TSA officials are disputing the claims of a dying woman who says agents subjected her to a humiliating security screen at Sea-Tac Airport.
The TSA says its agents followed the proper protocol when it patted-down Michelle Dunaj, who has leukemia.
Dunaj told KOMO TV the agents forced her to pull up her shirt, exposing her feeding tubes and then ripped open one of her saline bags.
“At no point did a TSA officer open the passenger’s medically necessary liquids and the passenger was never asked to remove or pull off any bandages,” said TSA in a statement to KOMO. “After reviewing video from the security checkpoint, we have determined that our screening procedures were followed.
“That isn’t true,” Dunaj said of the TSA statement. “They absolutely did open up one of my saline bags. I was asked to lift up my shirt and pull back the dressing.”
Dunaj says she also asked for a private screening, which was denied. The video doesn’t provide any clarity on that because it doesn’t have audio.
But despite Dunaj’s claims, the TSA insists all of its procedures were followed.
