This August 24 attack was captured on surveillance video. The 30-year-old male victim was walking alone down an alley in the 300 block of Lenora Street when he was knocked unconscious and robbed.

Police need your help to identify the man responsible for a brutal assault and robbery in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood.

The Aug. 24 attack was captured on surveillance video as the 30-year-old male victim walked alone down an alley in the 300 block of Lenora Street around midnight.

“A lone male suspect quickly approaches the victim from behind and strikes him on the head with what appears to be his fist,” according to the Seattle Police Department. “The victim is knocked to the ground, unconscious. The suspect is then seen rummaging through the victim’s pockets and flipping the victim’s limp body over twice on the pavement.”

The suspect stole the victim’s wallet, cell phone, and shoulder bag before calmly walking away.

The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center where he was treated for a broken jaw.

Detectives are now trying to identify the suspect. He is described as a black male in his 20’s, 5’10” tall, 240 pounds, and was last seen wearing a white shirt and red baseball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or Seattle Police Robbery Detective Tom Healy at (206) 684-5537. Callers can remain anonymous.
