Violent confrontations with burglars for Seattleites in two separate incidents

In two separate incidents Saturday night, residents in Seattle found themselves in violent confrontations with burglars.
Around 8 p.m. police responded to a home in the 9200 block of Wallingford Ave North where a homeowner was in a fight with a burglar in the front yard.

The suspect was arrested as the homeowner’s wife was still giving information to the 911 dispatcher. A 34-year-old man was booked into King County Jail on investigation of burglary.
About two hours later, in the 5900 block of 20 Ave Northwest, a woman locked herself and her children in an upstairs bedroom while her husband confronted a drunk burglar in their home.
Officers captured the burglar as he was charging the locked room where the woman and children were hiding.
A 23-year-old man was booked into King County Jail on investigation of burglary.
No injuries were reported in either incident.
