War of ‘Superlatives’ continues between Seahawks and Jimmy Fallon

Nov 10, 2016, 9:24 AM | Updated: 9:26 am

The Seahawks struck back once again against Late Night Show host Jimmy Fallon with their own version of ‘Superlatives’ that slammed the Late Night Show host, the election, and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The tongue-in-cheek battle has been going on since last year, with Fallon taking jabs at the team twice during the 2015 season, first as the Hawks prepared to play the Packers, and again as they geared up to play the Cardinals, so the Seahawks returned fire.

As a preview for this week’s Seahawks vs. Patriots matchup, Fallon poked fun at Seattle players Gerry Gilliam, Joey Hunt, Jon Ryan, J’Marcus Webb, and Russell Wilson.

The Seahawks appeared to be ready, pulling no punches on their return video tweeted out Thursday morning, with the words “Thank you again . We are thankful for you among many other things.”

While Tyler Lockett stared into the camera “playing the piano,” the players “wrote” letters about things they were thankful for. Among the gags were Doug Baldwin’s slight of Fallon compared to Late Night rival Conan O’Brien, Jon Ryan’s appreciation for his Canadian citizenship, Wilson’s shout out to the SuperSonics and an appearance from Beast Mode.
