A wanted felon is behind bars after leading sheriff’s deputies on a high speed chase near Maple Valley early Sunday morning.

The action was captured by cameras aboard King County’s Guardian One helicopter.

Deputies responded to the area after a woman called 911 just before 1:00 a.m. to report that someone was breaking into her home in the 19200 block of Maxwell Rd. SE.

Guardian One pilots arrived on the scene to witness three suspects exit the home and flee in a black Lexus.

The helicopter followed the Lexus as deputies deployed spike strips on SR 169 at SE 216th Street and again at SE 231st Street.

The suspects fled into a nearby wooded area when he vehicle rolled to a stop. All were apprehended with help from a K-9 unit.

One of the suspects, a 27-year-old male, was wanted for escape from community custody.
