Weekend traffic closures on I-5, Mercer Street

All lanes in both directions of I-5 near Boeing Field will close Friday night into Saturday morning.
The closure, from midnight Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday, will allow Seattle City Light crews to replace overhead utilities that span the highway.
Details from Seattle City Light:
• Both directions of I-5 between SR 599 and Boeing Access Road and SR 900 (MLK Way). The first lane will close at 9 p.m. The second lane will close at 10 p.m. The third lane will close at 11 p.m. All lanes will be closed by midnight and reopen by 6 a.m. Saturday.
• Both directions of MLK Way (SR 900) will be closed between S 129th St and Boeing Access Road from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• The Interurban Avenue on-ramp to northbound I-5 and the Corson Avenue on-ramp to southbound I-5 will also be closed between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

In Seattle, crews will close parts of Mercer Street for the weekend.
Mercer will be reduced to just one lane in each direction as part of the project to build a new Aurora Avenue overpass.
The closures will start at 8 p.m. Friday and continue until 5 a.m. Monday between Dexter and Fifth Ave. N. Taylor Avenue North will be fully closed while crews perform saw cutting work.
