Why we’re seeing epic sunrises, sunsets in Seattle

If you haven’t noticed, the greater Seattle area has experienced some beautiful sunrises and sunsets the last few days.
Why now? Besides being lucky, National Weather Service Meteorologist Ted Buehner says the suns rays are reflecting off of mid-level clouds before the sun rises over the Cascades or drops below the Olympics.
If you haven’t captured a photo yet, it might be too late. Rain showers are expected to move in Thursday and last until Friday night.
