One of two people injured in a hit and run crash involving a motorcycle last week in South Seattle has died.

The 57-year-old woman suffered significant head trauma after being struck Friday night at Martin Luther King Jr. Way South and South Alaska Street.

Seattle Police announced Tuesday that she died from her injuries on Sunday.

She and a 59-year-old man were hit by a red motorcycle.

“Police determined the motorcycle, traveling southbound on MLK, struck the pedestrians while they were walking in the crosswalk,” Seattle Police said in a blog post. “The motorcyclist ran from the scene before police arrived and is currently outstanding.”

Anyone with information is urged to call 911.
