Woman sexually assaulted at Seattle’s Cal Anderson Park

Police say a woman was sexually assaulted early Monday morning at Seattle’s Cal Anderson Park.
The woman says her attacker cried out for help, and when she went to check on him, he pulled out a knife. He then pushed the woman up against a tree and assaulted her. At one point, the man pushed her to the ground in frustration.
Seattle Police spokesman Mark Jamieson says the man broke off the attack when two dog walkers and their dog approached. The woman got off the ground and walked away with the dog walkers to the police station.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, about 6 feet tall with a thin build, bad acne, and bad teeth.
Officers attempted to search the park for evidence and potential witnesses. During the search, they ran into a group of men; one of the men matched the victim’s description. While it turned out the person was not the suspect, police did find a concealed sword, meat clever, and black Airsoft revolver on the man.
The man carrying the sword and cleaver was arrested and booked into the King County Jail for weapons violation.
