NIC Global Manufacturing Solutions will permanently close its Woodinville manufacturing plant and lay off 103 workers. The company is moving production to its plants in Spokane and Gallatin, Tennessee.

The first layoffs are expected Jan. 18, 2027, and the last workers are expected to leave by Aug. 31, 2028. That’s according to a layoff notice the company filed Wednesday with the Washington State Employment Security Department.

“The entire facility is affected,” the company wrote.

It clarified that no work is being handed to outside contractors.

NIC Global’s footprint

NIC Global makes custom sheet metal parts, components, and finished products for other manufacturers. The Woodinville site, at 23518 63rd Ave. SE, houses the company’s corporate headquarters and a manufacturing plant, according to the company’s website.

The website also lists seven other plants in Spokane, Pullman, Tennessee, Ohio, Texas, and China. The notice covers only the Woodinville manufacturing plant. It doesn’t say whether the corporate headquarters will move.

Layoffs in waves through 2028

A schedule attached to the notice shows workers leaving in staggered groups over roughly 20 months.

Most of the jobs being cut are on the production floor. The biggest groups are press brake operators, turret press operators, hardware inserters, and assembly specialists.

What comes next?

The affected workers aren’t represented by a union. They have no bumping rights, which means they can’t move into other jobs at the plant, according to the notice. Employees were notified in writing Wednesday. A copy of the notice also went to the Snohomish County executive.

The notice doesn’t mention severance or whether workers will be offered jobs at the Spokane or Gallatin plants.

NIC said it will give employees time during work hours to attend sessions with the Employment Security Department and WorkSource, the state’s job-search and retraining service.
