Brent Amaker & The Rodeo play the Crocodile this Friday!

Seattle’s Brent Amaker & The Rodeo like whiskey. Fact. Brent Amaker & The Rodeo like women. Fact. Brent Amaker & The Rodeo are going to kick your ass. Fact. Another fact is that these guys are starting to make a serious dent in the music world. They’ve been featured in outlets like ALARM Magazine, PopMatters, Magnet, OC Weekly, My Old Kentucky Blog and of course this here little ‘ol blog. They’ve gained national exposure on the Showtime series Californication and have made appearances at music festivals around the world including Popkomm Festival in Berlin and CMJ in New York City. Brent and Co. played last year’s Bumbershoot Festival and 2011 will be taking the Rodeo on a European tour, another tour of the states, and to SXSW in Austin as well all in support of their latest and greatest record, Please Stand By. Pretty darn cool.

My Old Kentucky Blog recently premiered the super cool new video for ‘Saddle Up’, directed by Jason Sievers. Instead of spending tons of money on a video shoot, (probably so they could have more money for booze. just sayin’) the video was made out of the band’s existing tour photography with almost all of the photos taken on Amaker’s iPhone from their 2010 tour dates, resulting in some sort of crazy video scrap book.
