Roisin makes me want to have a key party.

Roisin Murphy is another in a long line of female electro pop stars making music today. See: Lady Ga Ga, Goldfrapp, Annie…etc. As A matter of fact, Roisin has claimed that “Lady Gaga is just a poor imitation of me. She has copied my style.” I don’t care one shit about the fashion war brewing between these two music moguls, what matters here is exactly this, the music. Roisin was part of electro duo Moloko back in the day and since exiting that project she has released several albums, the latest entitled Momma’s Place, which is expected to arrive very soon. She combines elements of disco house and electropop which makes for really fun and very danceable good times. However, she’s also got this way of getting all smooth on you, especially on the track ‘Overpowered’, and really making you trip head over heels for everything that is Roisin. The first song my ears fell in love with is called ‘Let Me Know’. It’s got such a classic 70’s disco feel that I had a classic 70’s key party right after hearing the infectious grooviness.
I love this video for ‘Let Me Know’. Roisin has got the moves I tell ya, especially from the :59-1.05 mark. Love it!
