Kim Kardashian’s wedding bells still ringing at divorce filing

f7b23781-ca24-4758-9763-8af6ff538d79It only took Kim Kardashian 72 days to decide that she couldn’t spend the rest of her life with Kris Humphries.

According to a New York Times columnist, in those 72 days, she earned approximately $10,000 per hour for selling the rights to her wedding. So was the big pay day worth it? Maybe.

This is Kim’s second marriage, soon-to-be second divorce. That’s not saying classic celebrity icons can’t go through failing marriage after failing marriage and still be icons. People held Liz Taylor in high regard ’til her dying day, but the woman went through diamond rings at near historical proportions.

So what if Kim’s beau didn’t work out? You’re probably even asking yourself why this is a headline in the first place. But here is the sad, sad truth. It’s further proof that we can’t be sure what’s reality and what’s reality TV.

Wet Paint reported that when Kim and Kourtney took New York for E! she was interested in dating a New York NBA player. And the channel helped. Kris Humphries wasn’t her first choice. In fact, her first choice, Danilo Gallinari, turned down the opportunity, which was presented to him as a move that would be good for his career.

Will this opportunity be good for Kris’ career? Well I can tell you I don’t know a lot about his NBA career and I’m not sure E! will want to pick him up for his own television show unless he’s on a Kardashian’s arm. Only time will tell how history, (the internet?) remembers Humphries.

Unfortunately, when it comes to Kim, I don’t think we’ve heard the last.
