Virtually play with cats in real life

You can move the toy in the bottom left, but chances are that cat will just keep staring at you.

Now you can play with 10 to 12 cats at one time without becoming the creepy cat lady.

Tech-savvy shelters across the U.S., like this one in Los Angeles, are turning to cubicle hounding, cheezburger loving folks to treat these pets right.

From the comfort of your office chair, or at home on a dated, oversized desktop computer you can play with a room full of cats waiting to be adopted.

There are a couple of downsides.

The first: if you take into account how popular cats are on the Internet, you might realize that there is a wait to play with the cat in the room. On a sunny Friday afternoon, I waited nearly two hours to wiggle some feather for the cats’ enjoyment.

Which brings us to our second dilemma: cats are actually very boring 23 hours a day. Unless you have a kitten easily defined as a “spaz” these cats won’t seem to care that a toy across the room is moving. They seem more annoyed that you’re bothering their beauty sleep.

These, of course, are personal, not scientific, observations of cats. And – I’m a dog person.
