A 2.8 magnitude earthquake shook the Puget Sound region Wednesday, just before 4 p.m.

The earthquake was reported about 14 miles southwest of Bremerton and around 15 miles northwest of Tacoma, according to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network (PNSN).

PNSN said the earthquake was 16.06 miles deep. The network’s initial reading placed the earthquake at magnitude 3 before revising it to 2.8.

Anyone who felt the earthquake is encouraged to report it on the United States Geological Survey’s website.

The last significant event was a 3 magnitude earthquake on Saturday near Pistol River, Oregon.
