Who does CBS speak for anyway?

CBS News host Bob Schieffer offered an absolutely outrageous and idiotic opening question to Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council (FRC) in which he cited the Southern Poverty Law center's smearing of the FRC as a "hate group" (same group that listed Dr. Ben Carson as a KKK equivalent recently). CBS News host Bob Schieffer offered an absolutely outrageous and idiotic opening question to Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council (FRC) in which he cited the Southern Poverty Law center’s smearing of the FRC as a “hate group” (same group that listed Dr. Ben Carson as a KKK equivalent recently). He then said that CBS was “inundated” with contacts urging CBS not to allow the FRC on the program because they “don’t speak for Christians.”
First of all, the Southern Poverty Law Center has been allowing their politics to cloud their judgment for some time, and it threatens to diminish the respect they have commanded for following actual violent hate groups. The FRC may believe same-sex sexual relations are morally wrong, but so does the Catholic Church and thousands of others. Since when did views on sexual morality become grounds for being branded with a KKK or Neo-Nazi label? Disgusting and absurd.
Secondly, CBS is now taking their cues for organized social media campaigns to silence opposition? Did they ask if those complaining “spoke for Christians” and how would they possibly know? And who does CBS speak for anyway?
What is happening here is that Liberal Fascism is becoming bolder and seeking not to win debates, but silence them through intimidation and social bullying, and whatever else they can muster. CBS needs to hear from you whether you like the FRC or not because make no mistake, if they silence FRC you may be next. Let them know that the reason their programs like Blue Bloods and NCIS have been hits is because traditional America embraced them.
