A listener recently wrote and I said that he thought I did too much “Kumbaya” on the show; too many “come together” moments. There’s a reason for that. It has to do with American rights.

We are on a precipice.

Related: Should we be concerned about Trump and Russia?

All of the sudden Democrats are security hawks and Republicans are cool with Russia and Putin. All of the sudden Democrats are worried about fiscal costs and Republicans have become Keynesians, that we need big infrastructure projects.

The roles are beginning to change and the media is complicit in this change.

American rights

I’m a hard core small government guy. My principles are God, country, family, friends, work. And we all need to hold fast to our own principles.

I also believe that unlimited government power is always a bad idea. It would follow that limited government is a good idea. And we also know that government itself has no money. It cannot give people anything without at first taking it. Can anyone argue with that?

We need to come together because political operatives in Washington D.C. want us divided so they can continue to take money from our wallets and our 401K’s. That’s the game. We’re not customers of government; we’re product.

Government taking stuff away from people should be limited, therefore government should be limited. And Government looks to grow for its own self-interest. We should eliminate the ways that government tries to buy people.

We should all be able to agree on the non-negotiable American rights of the people.

As always, please listen to the full audio clip for complete context.
