Shower Thoughts: Bob Woodward or Stormy Daniels?

Is it just me or is there a chill in the air? Sounds like an extra hot shower is in order for today’s Shower Thoughts™. These are the random things that occur to me in the shower.

Wow, it’s going to be a long 14 more weeks for the Seattle Seahawks. Just doing a mental schedule check and it’s difficult to get better than 7-9 or 8-8. Unless there’s some magical improvement, it’s going to be a slog for all the 12s. I hope I’m wrong on that and they make the playoffs.

I solidly bit the inside of my mouth. So I got that going for me, which is nice.

Speaking of sports, Seattle still has one record intact. With the Mariners loss Tuesday night, they officially will not win their division. When they miss the playoffs again this year, they will extend the longest playoff drought of any professional team in any of the major sports in the entire United States.

I keep thinking about Rachel’s feature Tuesday on making friends as an adult. I actually opened up the BFF app and it still felt weird. Three profiles in and there was a dude in an augmented reality robot outfit as his main photo, then a guy with a photo of his mom, and a guy who seemed to be competing in the wooly beard Olympics. Um, I closed the app. I guess I’ll have to make friends the old fashioned way by sitting in my condo and wondering why it’s so hard to make friends.

I know it’s on the entire other side of the country, but if it crosses your mind to help the people of the Carolinas, do it. Having lived through Hurricane Katrina, experiencing your life destroyed by a flood is no joke and it takes a long time to recover. There will be a lot of people that just do not have the means to do all the repairs on their home, replace all their household items straight away, and land on their feet. Usually after a storm of this size, you will also see a big uptick in abandoned pets. So donate accordingly.

I wonder which tell-all book will sell more copies, the one by Bob Woodward or the one by Stormy Daniels? I’m hoping it’s Woodward, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the lurid details from Stormy move some copies.

And finally, another high-profile resignation – this time at Washington State University with Jason Gesser. How many times does it need to be said? You should never hit on the nanny. Men, listen to me. Never. Hit. On. The. Nanny.

I’m losing hot water, time to wrap things up for this week’s edition of Shower Thoughts.
