Jay Inslee’s faltering presidential campaign is still stuck down there at 1 percent. They’re going to only allow 20 candidates in the Democratic debates, 10 each night. Jay Inslee is one of the guys on the the bubble; he may not even make the debate stage.

But he’s still out there trying. Bless his heart.

Let me just say, and I’ve been saying this since the beginning of the campaign — the problem with Jay Inslee is, the more he talks, the more people are bored by him. It’s not that people dislike him, far from it. They just realize that — and I’m sorry to be so blunt — he’s not that bright of a guy and probably not sharp enough to lead the country. He’s got no chance, because nobody knows who he is nationally, and during the only opportunities that he gets, every single time he talks, he hurts himself.

Jay Inslee was on CNN on Friday to make another pitch for his climate scam. When the reporter asked him how he would pay for it, he said, “The more important question is, how much is it going to cost us if we take no action?” What a horrible strategy on his part. A reporter asked a very simple, direct, and important question, and he basically said, “Your question is stupid.” Bless his heart, but he has no room to call other people stupid.

He tried to take the legitimate question in another direction, talking about the costs incurred by cities across the country that are affected by forest fires and floods. He would not answer the question. The answer is, we don’t have the money. It costs way too much money. We don’t have trillions of dollars. AOC’s Green New Deal costs $93 trillion, more than all the liquid assets on the planet. It’s a bunch of fantasy, fairy-tale nonsense he’s trying to get away with, and at a time when our economy couldn’t possibly be better.

That said, I think it’s good that he’s still out there, because Jay Inslee is kind of the mainstream Democrat. The more people hear him, the more people understand what a socialist disaster his party has become.

When asked if he was concerned about reaching the 65,000 donor requirement to make the debates, Jay Inslee said that he was on track to get there with “a couple 10,000” donors.

The best part was when he reverted to his down-home Mayberry accent.

“Some people are makin’ out like bandits. We have more billionaires than we can shake a stick at in the United States.”

The mainstream Democrat party has moved socialist, all while our economy is doing fantastically well. While Jay Inslee says he wants to completely remake our economy through socialism, our economy’s numbers are stronger than ever. The national unemployment rate is the lowest since 1969. For minorities, unemployment numbers are the best ever. Wages are at an all-time high. When you have far more people working than looking for jobs, wages go up, because companies have to be competitive. The stock market is doing great.

Against that backdrop, how do Jay Inslee and Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden say we need to go in a different direction? That’s what Inslee and all the rest are running against right now, and I think the American people are going to come to their senses. The economy is one thing the president has great influence over, and our economy is fantastic right now.

But keep at it, Jay. You just keep on keeping on.
