As you know, Washington state is one of the most populous states in the country for illegal aliens. This has been a very carefully-calculated political strategy for decades now in our state, to attract as many illegal aliens as possible to Washington.

In fact, as we have amply demonstrated, statistically, our state is one of the very few in the country that has an extra seat in Congress because of the number of illegal aliens. The reason that there is such an effort to attract as many illegal aliens as possible to the state is because you get federal dollars allocated based on the total population, including illegal immigrants, as well as the political power that comes from that extra congressional seat.

Just from a fiscal standpoint, this is very costly. It is tremendously expensive for taxpayers because an estimated 10 percent of our public school students are the children of illegal aliens.  We are spending billions of dollars on education and social services for illegal aliens.

But as we have also seen around the country, our policy of bringing in illegal immigrants is incredibly dangerous. As we were going off the air on Tuesday, we were getting news of the 20-year-old University of Iowa student, Mollie Tibbets, who was killed in July. Her suspected killer, it turns out, was an illegal alien.

The inescapable fact for Mollie Tibbetts is that if 24-year-old Cristhian Rivera had not been in the country, she would be alive today. Mollie was an athlete, very active in student life at the University of Iowa. She was out for an evening jog at 7:30 p.m., when it was still light out. According to the police report, Cristhian Rivera pulled up beside her, and after she told him to get away, he got out of the car and started chasing her. They found her buried nearby in a cornfield, face-up.

Let me reiterate — if this illegal alien had not been in the country, this 20-year-old student would be alive today. That doesn’t mean all murders will stop when we build the wall and keep illegal immigrants out, but it does mean the ones committed by illegal immigrants will stop. We have a porous border, and we should build the wall so we can keep guys like this out.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren said one of the most stomach-turning, reprehensible things imaginable when asked about the death of Mollie Tibbets on CNN Wednesday. She said, “I’m so sorry for the family … but one of the things we have to remember is we need an immigration system that is effective, that focuses on where real problems are.”

So this is not a real problem, according to Elizabeth Warren. A young woman on an evening jog getting brutally murdered by an illegal alien is not one of the problems on which we need to be focusing. She said that the real problem is the separation of families there is “no plan to reunify” the immigrant children with their parents. Yeah, there’s no plan to reunify Mollie with her parents either, Senator. That is just a horrible, despicable, nauseating human being right there. And of course CNN didn’t challenge her on that, because the media is so sickeningly liberal.

On and on it went in the media. On MSNBC, their guest, Christina Greer, dismissed Mollie Tibbetts as just “a girl in Iowa,” wanting the media to focus instead on Trump and Cohen.

You saw how media earlier this week was drooling over the father in California who was detained by ICE when he was driving his wife to the hospital for a C-section. It turned out the guy was wanted for murder, but did any of the media outlets focus on that? “The husband ripped away from his pregnant wife by those jack-booted thugs at ICE” was the headline by ABC, MSNBC, CBS, and CNN. And to those same news outlets, Mollie Tibbetts is just “a girl in Iowa.”

Build that wall. Every politician who endorses and supports as much illegal alien migration as possible is responsible for these crimes when they occur in our country.
