Covington students and false reporting

The media’s treatment of the kids is reminiscent of history 

I was amazed at the vitriol of the mainstream media and those on the left toward the youth before the full story came out. However, what struck me was the call to action of the those on the left. The calls to dox, hit the youth, and to put them in a school and burn them struck me as something Nazi Germany would have done toward the Jews in the mid to late 1930s. The commonality between the current left and Nazi Germany is astounding to me, and yet, they are blind to that as to the call for violence toward those who disagree with them and their left-leaning doctrine.

Way to call the Native Americans ‘Indians,’ Dori. That explains a lot about you — including not letting your kids eat Asian food.

Nathan Phillips is stealing valor

I did four years in the Marines myself. For Nathan Phillips to claim he was a Vietnam veteran and beyond that, a Recon ranger, is stolen valor. Marine Recon is the equivalent of the Navy Seals. For a refrigerator mechanic to claim he was in Recon is ridiculous. Look up Marine LRRP in Vietnam and see what they went through. Further, to be in the Marines for four years and get out a private shows he was unsat. In four years you could make corporal (E-4) or certainly lance corporal (E-3).

The Covington boys weren’t angels 

Yes, the first reports were not the whole story on the Catholic school boys. Now more secondary reports are coming out that question THEIR story. Be fair about these reports too. Please.

As more stories come out about Covington Catholic High School, somehow, the school looks even worse.

In another video posted to Twitter as of Monday, a group of boys wearing MAGA hats taunts a young woman walking by. You can hear one boy shout at her. The Twitter poster (who is also the woman in the video) says these boys were also from Covington.

Photos and videos of boys at the high school have begun circulating on the internet, showing them wearing blackface and body paint. Where? At a basketball game! With coaches and parents all around them.

So to be clear, these boys are far from innocent, as you have portrayed them on your show. As a Catholic, I am horrified to see their behavior at the basketball game. You, I am sorry to say, fell into the same trap as the first set of folks. You fail to delve deeply and are taking their explanation at face value, when there is more to the story — a history of racism in the school.

Police access to toll camera footage

The police chief’s examples are only hypothetical and do not present a compelling reason why we need to erode more of our civil liberties and privacy. Once we give government more power, it is almost impossible to ever get it back. This is a slippery slope that we should not travel down.

Homelessness as an industry in Seattle

What good do accusations do? Perhaps solutions will eventually occur to you. Perhaps you will learn of individuals who support and can manage the reduction of homelessness, of addiction, of crime. Perhaps you will serve a constructive purpose with your bully pulpit — probably not, though. Instead, you’ll scream, point fingers, and assign blame, while adding nothing to improvement strategies or actions. Hypocrisy, your name is Dori Monson. Your actual agenda is clear — smear the civic leaders you call communists, socialists, and Marxists.

$75,000/year federal worker can’t feed family

I feel for those who are impacted by the shutdown, but if you’re making $60k, $70k, or more, and missing one paycheck puts you into foreclosure, or to the point where you can’t afford food, you are living far beyond your means. Obviously, I’m not talking about the exceptions, such as sudden and unexpected emergency bills.
