show pumpkin carving contest...

A 2018 entry by listener Matt Gilbert.

The leaves are falling, the bats are flying, and the grocery stores won’t stop shoving candy in your face — that means it’s time for the second annual Dori Monson Show Pumpkin Carving Contest.

The question to ponder is, what does Seattle mean to you? Between now and Halloween, carve a jack-o-lantern that best represents your idea of Seattle, whether it’s the serene visage of Kshama Sawant, an image of the dearly-departed viaduct, or the Mariners logo. Then submit a photo of your creation to the Dori Monson Show Facebook page, or by email to njennings@bonneville.com.

Entries could be featured on Dori’s Facebook page and on MyNorthwest.com. The artist behind the cleverest pumpkin will receive a Seahawks-themed prize.

Original work only; please do not send in photos found online. These are easily rooted out by the Dori Monson Show team. Cheaters will be disqualified.

To get some inspiration from last year’s entries, review the 2018 Dori Monson Show Pumpkin Carving Contest designs here.
