Seattle police are searching for a murder suspect after a drive-by shooting in south Seattle left a man dead and a woman hurt early Sunday morning.

Just before 1:00 a.m., someone drove into the parking lot of a nightclub on 4th Avenue S., about three blocks north of S. Michigan St., and opened fire.

Police say surveillance camera video shows the driver fired several shots, hitting a 36-year-old security guard.

Investigators say the man hit by gunfire died before officers arrived.

A bullet also injured a 27-year-old woman who was shot in the leg.

Less than an hour later, police found the vehicle used by the suspect in south Seattle, engulfed in flames.

No suspects have been arrested.

The woman shot is in serious condition.

Police officers began first aid efforts on the woman before Seattle Fire Medics arrived and transported her to Harborview Medical Center.

Crime Scene Investigations Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances of the shooting and arrived at the scene to find witnesses and gather evidence.

Police are asking anyone with information or video of the incident to contact investigators.

They can be reached on the Seattle Police Violent Crimes Tipline at (206) 233-5000.
