A friend and listener who works in Fremont sent me a photo he took Thursday morning. There is an RV on a street in Fremont, and next to it is a big piece of plywood that has been spray-painted into a message board reading, “Buy drugs here.”

So, in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood, we are now openly advertising that you can buy drugs in an RV. But, of course, as we talked about with King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg on Wednesday, drugs are now legal throughout the county, as long as you are caught with under a gram.

So I don’t know how they could even stop this. Who are they going to prosecute?

Maybe inside the RV they have more than a gram of drugs and the police could do something about that. Well, no. Some of the people who live in that neighborhood called the police. Three hours later, the police came out, they talked to the people in the RV, and then they left.

The RV is still there, the sign that is spray-painted, “Buy drugs here,” is still sitting out on the street advertising.

As my friend said, “Maybe their City of Seattle business license checked out.”

Nice job with your district, Mike O’Brien.
