Maybe it’s because I spent some time in Hollywood or maybe it’s because I used to write songs, but I think I have more tolerance for wackiness in artists than most people do. That brings me to Mel Gibson.

Gibson has a new movie out, called “Hacksaw Ridge.”

Why conservatives should disconnect satellite TV and unplug their cable

Now, Gibson has said some disgusting things. And he seems to have problems with alcoholism, etc.

But the CNN headline about his new movie said “Can Mel Gibson Survive Mel Gibson?” And the entire tone of the article was about Gibson, the broken man. Gibson asked for forgiveness from the people and communities he offended.

Now he’s out with a new film, which should be the focus. But that’s not the case.

But what about stars on the left who have big personal problems; people like Woody Allen, Roman Polanski, John Lennon?

I think Gibson is called out because he’s concentrated his own film-making on religious topics. Is Mel Gibson really dangerous to Hollywood? Is it because of the content of his art or the content of his character with which they object?

As always, please listen to the full audio clip for complete context.
