Jerry Bruckheimer says he’s ‘trying’ to make Top Gun 2

While on a whirlwind media tour in Seattle to hype NHL ticket sales, movie director Jerry Bruckheimer said he’s trying to make Top Gun 2.
When asked if Tom Cruise was committed to a film, Bruckheimer responded, “He’s into it.”

“Ah, we hope so,” Bruckheimer responded. “We’re working on it.”
The challenge, Bruckheimer said, was getting the right story. But he assured fans that he’s very close with a good writer and good director.
“Paramount wants to do it, Tom’s excited about, we’re moving closer,” he said.
NHL Seattle gets to 25K season ticket deposits in 1st hour
Bruckheimer is a prospective NHL Seattle owner working with the Oak View Group, which is set to begin a complete renovation of the current KeyArena at Seattle Center by the end of the year. OVG is hoping will lure both the NHL and NBA to Seattle. The new arena has a target date of being open in time for 2020-21 NHL season.
