King County erecting field hospitals for coronavirus patients

The first temporary field hospital to handle coronavirus patients is taking shape in Shoreline.

Workers continue on Thursday to put up a soft top on what is a temporary field hospital that they’re building on the Shoreline B Soccer Field along the west side of I-5.

King County quarantine sites shift standards after patient flees facility

This is one of the many field hospitals King County is building in the region to hold as many as 3,000 patients who can’t stay in their homes without compromising the health of other family members, or who do not have a home.

The City of Shoreline says the field hospital at the soccer complex will provide about 200 beds.

When occupancy will begin isn’t clear.
