As family and police continue to search for a University of Washington student who’s been missing since last Saturday, they’re releasing new videos that might trigger someone’s memory about Marizela Perez.

Perez’s cousin, syndicated columnist Michelle Malkin, has posted videos on her website that show the 18-year-old Perez before she disappeared on her way to the campus.

In this first clip of video surveillance from a University District Safeway on 4732 Brooklyn Avenue NE.

In this first clip, she appears around the :19 mark, walking from the right of the screen to the left with short black hair, wearing a dark jacket.

In this clip she’s seen at the :52 second mark, exiting the store and walking north.

She was wearing a dark jacket with hood over a light-colored sweater with hood, denim jeans, light brown suede laced boots, possibly wearing green eye contacts, carrying a denim drawstring backpack with rainbow butterfly screen print.

Perez’s family says they “remain hopeful and we will not rest” until they find her. They’re asking anyone who might have seen her after she exited the Safeway sometime in the 2:00 p.m. hour on Saturday, March 5, to contact the Seattle Police Department.

Michelle Malkin tells me, “After this weekend’s ground searches, we’ve hit a wall. The police have contacted cab drivers in the area. King County Search and Rescue has been alerted. But the police can’t do anything to launch their own official ground searches until they narrow down options of where she might have gone. That’s why spreading the videos is important.”
