Old Spice man goes for action hero

So what do you do if you’re an actor best known for a funny commercial but who wants to be taken seriously … as an action hero?
That’s the dilemma facing Isaiah Mustafa, the guy in those Old Spice ads …
It turns out this super cool pitchman grew up a comic book nerd and has always dreamed of playing superhero Luke Cage, an African-American hero-for-hire and a member of the Marvel Comics band of heroes like Iron Man, Thor, the Fantastic Four, and the X-men.
Now, a Luke Cage movie is not even officially in the works but Mustafa is campaigning hard for the role. In fact, he’s just released a mock trailer for the non-existent movie with him in the lead, of course.
It’s a slick and highly produced 41 second trailer full of fast edits and atmospheric visuals – with slow-motion shots of Mustafa punching through walls and punching out bad guys. And lots and lots of shots of his muscular torso with and without his shirt on.
Hello, ladies? Hello Marvel Studio execs!
