Shout-out to my neighbor who is even more passive-aggressive than me

Holy cow, did you feel it dip into the 50s last night? No Bueno, I say. That’s the first random thought that swam through my head in this week’s edition of Shower Thoughts. Let’s do this.

I’m torn on the new NHL team coming to Seattle. Not because I’m some kind of hockey hater. It’s the re-building of the arena for the third time in a little more than my lifetime that stands out to me. And seeing as how I get almost get run over by a construction truck three times a day right now, I can only imagine what it will be like when there’s a push to get that area done while they are tearing down the viaduct at the same time. Ouch!

I find myself in a scooter dilemma. I’ve enjoyed scooting to work, but now that it’s getting dark by the end of show time, I’m a bit nervous to scoot in the dark. Is putting some reflective tape on the back of my helmet enough, or is Don right that I’ll be taking my life in my own hands by scooting in the dark around here? I’ve also thought about wearing one of those hands free lights mounted on a headband thing. How dorky is that?

Shout-out to my neighbor who is even more passive aggressive than me, evidently. Someone I live close to has taken it upon themselves to start putting notes on cars that are parked more than one foot farther than where he thinks they should be parked. I’m glad to know that I’m not the most passive-aggressive person on the block.

I’m constantly amazed at modern technology. Case in point, my brother’s TV was out last night and he’s a huge Colorado Rockies fan. So for the last three innings of their one-game playoff against the Chicago Cubs, I FaceTimed with him so he could watch me, cough, watch the game on his iPhone as the Rockies won in the 13th inning.

The tiny homes are being installed into the new low barrier village less than a mile from my place.

I’m obviously opposed to this iteration. But you know what I wouldn’t opposed? If they took that same lot and actually built some permanent modular housing and some kind of treatment facility. Instead of having a chain link fence and just a hodgepodge of random little buildings, do things the right way and actually help some people. That lot is big enough where you could properly serve a decent chunk of people. Why do it in the least effective way possible?

I’m horrible at Halloween costumes, so message me with the best costume under $50.
