What would you do if someone said they were convicted of aggravated manslaughter and wanted a ride?
It’s a dark Las Vegas night and Ron Upshaw is driving alone when he spots a man on the side of the road.
Being someone who wants to help others, the KIRO Radio show host stops and picks the man up.
Turns out, the man’s name is Don.
“Great karma, Ron told KIRO Radio’s Don O’Neill.
But then things began getting a little uncomfortable. Ron asked Don how it was going.
“He says, ‘Oh man, it’s going great,'” Ron said as he told the story. “‘I just got out of jail and I need to get down to this shelter before it closes for the night.'”
Ron soon finds out it wasn’t a quick stint in the slammer, either. Don was locked up for 20 years.
At this point, should Ron say goodbye?
