Seattle ranked No.7 on Forbes’ ‘fastest growing’ list

Texas dominates the list of fastest-growing cities,
attracting more residents with its strong employment
center, lower taxes, and more affordable housing,
according to an article on Forbes.com.

Seattle ranked seventh on the list while Austin, Texas,
topped Forbes’ list of America’s fastest-growing cities
for the second year in a row. Austin has a projected
economic growth rate of 6 percent a year through 2016,
which is more than twice as much as the nation as a whole,
according to Moody’s Analytics data.

In compiling its list of America’s fastest-growing
cities, Forbes.com analyzed the 100 largest metro areas
and reviewed projections for each city’s economic and
population growth, median income, unemployment rates, and
employment growth.

fastest-growing cities:
