I bought some Italian espresso that says “product of Italy” on the package. But I know the actual beans aren’t grown in Italy. Is something a product of where the material was produced or where the final product is made?

Trump conspiracy theory

I’ve been very entertained by the new gerther movement. For the uninitiated, this is a trending hashtag about a conspiracy theory regarding Donald Trump’s weight. Just do a quick web search and you’ll see what I mean. In a nutshell. If Trump is 6’3″, as Doctor Ronnie claimed, then he misses being classified as obese by 1 pound. At 6’2″ he’s obese; at 6’3″ he’s just overweight. Cue the internet to produce the photos of him standing next to a 6’1″ Barak Obama and appearing to be shorter. I want to see the Gerth Certificate!

Parking

I’m pretty sure I’m more territorial about my parking space than anything else in my life.

Another thing about Trump

One more thought on President Trump. Does anyone else find it odd that a credible story about a sitting president having an affair with a porn star doesn’t even seem to register? The story didn’t seem to cause too much controversy. Can you imagine if President Obama was caught with a porn star four months after his child was born?

Trolley thoughts

I pass by the trolley in South Lake Union almost every day. There are usually about 2-3 people on it. Seriously, many times, it’s totally empty. Think about that as they gas up the bulldozers to put more tracks in on 1st Avenue.

#MeToo

What’s the statute of limitations on #MeToo? Do I need to throw away my Mario Batali cookbook? Can I laugh at a Louis CK joke? What about watching an Oscar winning movie from the Weinstein company?

Computer fail

Few things are more frustrating to me than when my computer darn near forces me to make an upgrade, then crashes in the middle of the upgrade. I wiped out about 6 weeks of work yesterday with an update fail. Thanks Apple.

NFL

Now that Saints are out of the NFL playoffs, I’m struggling to figure out which team to root for. On principle, I can’t root for the Patriots. And Jacksonville? Please. The Eagles seem interesting because of the backup QB storyline. But I think I’m a Vikings fan for the next month.

Resolutions

And finally, if you’ve fallen off the wagon on your New Year’s Resolution, it’s not too late. Do that thing you’ve been meaning to do. You got this.
