The teenage Kent girl who allegedly gave her brother a gun before an armed robbery and shootout with Seattle police could face up to four years in prison, King County Prosecuting Attorney Daniel Satterberg told KIRO Radio’s Ron and Don.

The girl, 17, is being charged as an adult for her alleged role in the robbery of a 7-Eleven, which led to a shootout with police. She could have faced a harsher punishment, however.
“She is an accomplice to the robbery,” Satterberg said. “Had she given the gun to her brother and said, here, shoot those officers, she would be an accomplice in attempted murder of officers. But she didn’t do that and there’s no evidence of that.”
Hudson Kang, the 30-year-old police officer who was shot during the shootout, was released from the hospital Wednesday, April 26. Kang was shot in the chin and has been at Harborview Medical Center since the incident on April 20. He was previously listed as in serious-but-stable condition. The Seattle Police Department reports that his recovery continues.
Teen girl faces charges after robbery, shootout
The girl, identified by prosecutors as Adrianna Butts, is being charged with first-degree robbery and third-degree assault. Her brother, Damarius, 19, was shot and killed by police after shooting at officers last Thursday, according to charging papers.
Butts, according to charging papers, gave her brother the gun he used to allegedly shoot at officers after the robbery.
According to an affidavit originally obtained by The Seattle Times, Butts’ sister told police she purchased the gun for $550, the Times reports. The female allegedly told police she gave her brother the gun because “she didn’t have it in her” to pull it on someone, according to the Times.
