The return of the ‘Hotdog Hooker’

Oct 24, 2012, 12:25 PM | Updated: 2:20 pm

She’s one of the most popular and controversial guests ever to appear on the Dori Monson Show. After Catherine Scalia, better known as the Hotdog Hooker, wrote Dori a sizzling Christmas card asking to make a return appearance on the show, Dori couldn’t resist.

Scalia gained national notoriety last May after getting busted for prostitution while running a hot dog truck in her bikini, allegedly selling more than just frankfurters.

“You were the best out of all the news reporters, out of everything. I clicked with you when we were talking,” she tells Dori in an interview that required some serious bleeping for all of her salty talk.

Six months later, she’s still seeking redemption. While she admits she gave an undercover cop a lap dance, she continues insisting she didn’t actually do anything illegal.

“They made me plead guilty. They didn’t have no tape or no proof of a sexual act.”

Scalia spent seven days in jail and paid a $200 fine. Now, she says she wants Dori to help spread the word and spare other strippers from the same fate. Really.

“Be careful, because some of these guys are undercover,” she cautions.

Even though her 15 minutes of fame have long since passed, she hopes Dori helps keep her memory alive.

“Don’t ever forget me. I went down in history. ‘Get a wiggle with your wiener,'” she says.
