Trump has inadvertently shown the hypocrisy of the Left

Jun 7, 2016, 6:00 PM

I spent a lot of time this past weekend thinking about Trump’s comment on a judge’s ethnicity. I don’t like that Trump did this. It makes me uncomfortable with Donald Trump. But I think he has unintentionally held a mirror up to the Left; not that what the Left has been doing is right either.

Justice Sonia Sotomayor is either a good judge who views things through the lens of a learned justice or she isn’t. I don’t care that she is Latina. That is not diversity to me. She is still an Ivy League person. It’s not about her ethnicity. But the Left says we need to celebrate the wise Latina. We are told that her ethnicity is a key factor in her making wiser decisions. We’ve got to have ethnic diversity.

But what about intellectual diversity?

So Trump holds this mirror up, and I don’t agree with what he said, but I’m looking at the culture in which he said it. Look at our voting system. We are rejiggering districts to make sure the correct mix of Hispanics and African Americans are in voting districts, saying this is the only way they can get the proper representation.

The Left has been so race focused that they have divided and racial identified everyone in every possible way. Trump has inadvertently shown the hypocrisy of the Left.
