I had an epiphany that gave me peace. I believe strongly that we must believe in principles and that our politics should be honest.

I struggle because President Donald Trump’s team hasn’t done the best job with this Russian thing. They should have gotten out in front of it a long time ago.

RELATED: Why would the Russians need an American liaison?

I know Washington D.C. is a nasty, dirty place but I just want the truth. And I won’t stop criticizing the administration when it needs to be criticized. But it makes me nervous because it puts me in the same camp as the mainstream media.

And the media doesn’t really care about collusion. D.C. is entirely made up of collusion. The media only cares about one kind of collusion. But they should be reporting on all of it.

I feel that as a broadcaster, I am morally obligated to give the context of these things, not to carry water for President Trump. I won’t carry the water for any politician.

I want to make sure I never sell myself, because then I could never do this radio show with any honor whatsoever.

As always, please listen to the full audio clip for complete context.
